Barcelona Working To Sign Alberto Moleiro In The Summer

Even though Barcelona have missed out on a few young talents in recent years, the club have done extremely well to focus on home-grown, domestic talents.

Las Palmas has seemingly become a preferred hunting groun for the Blaugrana. The Canary outfit were the ones to sanction the sale of Pedri a few years back and it seems Barça are also on the hunt to sign another young talent Alberto Moleiro.

Now, according to DEPREDICT, there is a third Las Palmas player on this list in the form of Elias Romero. Currently plying his trade with Las Palmas’ U-19 setup, the youngster is regarded as one of the most talented players to come out of the club’s youth academy.

Romero has indeed lit up Spain’s youth competitions this season with his blistering performances at Las Palmas youth sides. He has 14 goals in his 21 matches this season and it seems his performances have not gotten unnoticed either.

Barcelona are among the clubs interested in the services of Elias Romero. The report suggests the Catalans are even finding ways to incorporate the 18-year-old striker into Camp Nou ahead of next season.

This comes in the midst of reports that suggest Barcelona are looking for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The club have identified Vitor Roque as one of the top targets, and looks likely to arrive at Camp Nou in the summer.

At the same time, Romero could also be a fine acquisition with an eye on the future. The player describes himself as a hard-working, modern-day forward, who is always looking to find space in the final third.

He is capable of operating on the right flank as well, even though the youngster is more comfortable in the central striker role.

Barcelona are keen on incorporating Romero as part of their squad next season. Whether or not the Catalans can achieve the task remains to be seen.
