EDEN HAZARD LAYOUT FUTURE PLANS WITH POWERFUL MESSAGE ALONG CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL

Hazard has outlined his plans for the future, as he revealed intentions to stay with Real Madrid

Eden Hazard has put a damper on a possible return to the Premier League after reiterating that he wants to stay at Real Madrid and “prove” himself.

This season, the Belgium international has made 23 appearances for Los Blancos across all competitions in what has been another underwhelming campaign for him.

He managed to start 11 matches in total but a leg break in January once again ruled him out long term.

This has been a recurring theme for Hazard as a Real Madrid player, despite initial optimism surrounding his transfer from Chelsea in 2019.

In total, he has managed just six goals in 66 games for the Los Blancos, and his underwhelming performances coupled with injuries and the age factor has led to mass speculation that he is not cut out for the La Liga.

But Hazard recently made a decision on his future, saying he will be a Real Madrid player next season, with clear determination to live up to his £80million price tag.

The 31-year old says he feels he can help his team in the Champions League final on May 28.

“Do I feel liberated after the operation? The surgery went well. Everything is going well at the moment. I am ready just in time to play a part in the Champions League final,” Hazard said as quoted by The Mirror.

“I didn’t want to go too fast like last time. The coach understood my situation, as did the medical staff. We have worked well. Now I feel really good.”

Real Madrid will take on Liverpool in the Champions League final on Saturday, as the Spanish giants aim to lift the trophy for the first time since 2018.
