Mokwena: ‘Sundowns to release players’ FOR NEW ARRIVALS

Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena has confirmed that the club will be releasing several players to accommodate new arrivals.

Sundowns are expected to sign new players including midfielder, Sipho Mbule from SuperSport United before the start of next season.

Sbusiso Vilakazi and Grant Margerman are some players reported on their way out at Chloorkop.

Mokwena says his team will be finalizing the names of players to leave Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the season.

“Do we expect players to leave? Of course, it’s normal in every football club.

“The goal is to improve and sometimes to improve means creating a space so that we can bring in because we can’t bring in already with 36 players and continue to bring in players.

“Of course, it will be the same process also we will combine our reports and submit them to the Sporting Director and the board.

“Then have meetings with our scouting departments, Ezrom and Terror and the rest of the coaches and see the way forward and it’s derived from those meetings,” said Mokwena.
