NEYMAR UNINJURED AFTER PRIVATE JET MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING

Neymar is safe and well after the private jet he was flying on had to make an emergency landing in northern Brazil.

The 30-year-old had been flying back to his homeland after participating in the latest World Series of Poker event in Las Vegas, and had been due to land in Sao Paulo.

But the plane was forced to make an emergency landing in the city of Boa Vista, having already made stops in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Barbados.

A statement from Neymar’s agency confirmed he had been on board the Cessna 680 Citation, and noted that the pilot had taken precautionary measures after encountering a problem mid-flight.

“Due to a small problem in the windshield wiper of the plane of the NR Sports plane, in which the athlete Neymar Jr, his sister Rafaella Santos and Bruna Biancardi were traveling, the pilot decided, as a measure of precaution, to make an early landing this Tuesday (21) in Boa Vista, in Roraima, so that the problem could be resolved.

“We would like to say that all the passengers are fine and waiting to continue the voyage.”

Neymar had been participating in the World Series of Poker event after winning a preliminary PokerStars tournament, whom he is an ambassador for, six years ago. He was unable to take part in the main event the following month because of commitments with Brazil at the 2016 Olympics, but was unfortunately eliminated on day one of the 74-player showdown
