ORLANDO PIRATES’ NIGERIAN DEFENDER OLISA NDAH NOMINATED FOR A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD AFTER EXCELLENT EFFORT THIS SEASON

The Nigerian defender stood head and shoulders above everyone’s shoulders at Orlando Pirates since he joined the club ahead of last season.

Olisah Ndah’s outstanding efforts for Orlando Pirates in what was a let-down of a season have been recognised in Nigeria.

His towering presence in the Buccaneers’ defence saw him being selected for the Super Eagles’ 2021 Africa Cup of Nations squad, though he did not get game time in Nigeria. Ndah joined Pirates at the beginning of the season from Nigerian club Akwa United.

As reported by Kick Off, has now been nominated for the Eagles Tracker Defender of the Season. Eagles Tracker awards highlight and celebrates the most outstanding Nigerian footballers around the world with 13 categories this year.

Ndah is up against Victor Moses – formerly with Chelsea, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Crystal Palace and Fenerbahce and now with Spartak Moscow. Also in contention are Zaidu Sanusi of FC Porto, left-footed central defender Calvin Bassey (Glasgow Rangers) and towering West Bromwich Albion defender Semi Ajay.

According to The Citizen, Ndah is on the radar of a yet-to-be-named Swedish team, and is not expected to remain in South Africa either way as his star continues to rise.
