OTTO ADDO RECORDS FIRST WIN AS BLACK STARS COACH IN VICTORY AGAINST MADAGASCAR

Otto Addo masterminded his first win as head coach of Ghana on Wednesday when the Black Stars defeated Madagascar 3-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium

Otto’s first win as Black Stars trainer ends Ghana’s winless streak dating back to January 5 and also puts the four-time African champions at the summit of Group E in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

Otto Addo recorded his maiden victory as head coach of the Black Stars when he guided the four-time African champions to a resounding win over Madagascar at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Otto, a former Ghana international, supervised his third game in charge as Black Stars head coach, with his previous two ending in draws against Nigeria in the World Cup play-offs.

His third game in charge will be the charm as an inspired performance from the four-time African champions ensured Otto Addo will chalk his debut win as coach of his native nation.

Otto Addo agrees to continue as Ghana coach

Former Black Stars midfielder Otto Addo has reached an agreement with the Ghana Football Association to lead the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Addo was initially appointed as head coach of the Black Stars on an interim basis following the sack of Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac.

He was appointed as the head of a four-man technical team that comprised Aston Villa U23 coach George Boateng, ex-Asante Kotoko coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani and Chris Hughton, formerly of Newcastle United.
