Premier League Manager Of The Month Nominees For February Announced

The Premier League has announced the nominees for the manager of the month award for February 2023.

There are three candidates for the award, and surprisingly, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta did not make the shortlist meaning there will be a new winner this month.

The Premier League will announce the winner on Friday, March 10. Fans can vote for their preferred candidate here.

Erik ten Hag – Manchester United

The former Ajax boss has done a fantastic job at Old Trafford and revived a sleeping giant. He is a favourite for the award this month.

Man Utd won three and drew one of their four league games last month. Despite going a man down, United beat Crystal Palace 2-1 to earn their first league win of the month.

This win was after beating Nottingham Forest in the semifinal to reach the final of the EFL Cup that they won last month too. It was their first title since 2017.

United also faced Leeds United twice in back-to-back games, drawing the first before winning the second tie at Elland Road. They beat Leicester City convincingly to round up the month.

Marco Silva – Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva brought the Cottagers up and is masterminding a brilliant campaign in London.

They opened the month with a 0-0 draw against their SW6 rivals before seeing off Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Fulham also drew Wolverhampton Wanderers. They are up to seventh on the league table and only six points away from a top-four spot.

In February, Fulham also secured their place in the quarterfinal of the FA Cup. They will face Manchester United later this month.

Antonio Conte – Tottenham Hotspur

The former Inter Milan manager was away recovering from a gallbladder operation. Cristian Stellini led the club for most of the month, but Antonio Conte has received the nomination.

Firstly, they beat reigning Premier League champions Manchester City. That game saw Harry Kane become the club’s all-time top scorer.

They lost their next league tie to Leicester City 4-1. Ironically, it was the only league game in which Conte was in the dugouts during the month.

Spurs bounced back with 2-0 wins over London rivals West Ham United and Chelsea.
