Report: Al-Hilal Set Date To Announce Lionel Messi With €400m Per Year Deal

There might soon be a resolution on Lionel Messi’s future, with Al-Hilal preparing to announce the signing of the Argentine forward, who is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

This has been reported by Diario SPORT, which suggests the Saudi Arabian outfit are making all the necessary provision to announce the signing of Messi by June 6. They are preparing for a big show, knowing Messi’s potential arrival can be beneficial for not only the club but also the country.

Messi’s yes is missing

Despite all the brouhaha in the Al-Hilal camp, Messi is yet to accept any offers from Al-Hilal. It appears the Saudi giants are excited only on the virtue of their truly lucrative offer that could go up to €400 million per season – about double what Cristiano Ronaldo earns at Al-Nassr.

Barcelona, for their part, are not in a position to make a move for Messi just yet. They are not aware of the club’s economic limitations as La Liga are yet to approve the Economic Viability Plan.

This has led to a delay in the process for Barcelona, though they have tabled an unofficial bid worth up to €25 million.

Decision coming soon for Messi

It has been a while since Messi has spoken anything about his future. But recent reports claim that the decision could be just around the corner.

It is partly what is making Al-Hilal so excited about the prospect of signing the Argentine, knowing Barcelona are still not in a position to table an offer for their former superstar.

Taking everything into account, it promises to be a tense few weeks for both Al-Hilal and Barcelona, as Messi looks to take the next step in his career after spending two years in the French capital.
