TOP HIGHEST SCORING AFRICANS IN 2021/2022

‘Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga has been ranked in the top 10 list of high scoring Africans after another successful season in Qatar.

Michael Olunga was the eighth-highest scoring African in the just-concluded season, in a new set of statistics.

Olunga, who turns out for Al Duhail in Qatar, grabbed 24 goals in the Qatari League to finish as the top scorer. He was recently awarded the Mansour Muftah award which is the equivalent of the Golden Boot.

The Harambee Stars captain has been compared to some great names including Mohamed Salah who took the third spot.

Salah won the English Premier League Golden Boot after scoring.23 goals. The Egyptian marksman got a total of 33 goals in all competitions in Liverpool’s successful season which has seen them win two trophies so far.

Top of the list is Ajax and Ivory Coast striker Sebastian Haller. Haller bagged 37 goals with 21 of them coming in the Eredivisie as Ajax strolled to the League title. Haller has been in top form since joining the Dutch side from Premier League outfit, West Ham United.

Ricardo Gomes has been placed second on the list. Gomes is a Cape Verdean international who plays his professional football for FK Partizan in the top flight of Serbian football. He registered 35 goals and 8 assists.
