Al-Ahli To Submit Mahrez Offer Today
Foot Mercato reports that the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli will submit an offer for Manchester City attacker Riyad Mahrez today.
The Saudi club is preparing to offer a four-year deal to the 32-year-old Algerian international, as well as a €20m fee. The former Leicester City man has two years left on his current deal in Manchester after completing his fifth season with the Premier League champions, during which he scored 15 times in 47 appearances.
Mahrez would join a host of big names moving to the Saudi Pro League this summer, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to the division earlier this year. Former Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is already at Al-Ahli, while French internationals Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante have joined Al Ittihad. Al-Hilal has signed Ruben Neves from Wolves, Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio. Croatian international Marcelo Brozovic has also joined Ronaldo at Al-Nassr from Inter Milan.
