Arsenal ‘Submit Offer’ For Kai Havertz And Bayern Munich Also Interested.
Arsenal have made an opening bid for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, according to The Athletic.
The ever reliable David Ornstein reported on Wednesday evening that the Gunners hold a strong interest in the 24-year-old and have now submitted a proposal to their London rivals.
However, it has also been reported that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also keen on the German international.
Havertz has two years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and Mikel Arteta has now stepped up his pursuit of the player following contact between the clubs and player’s representatives.
He made the move from Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea for €80m in 2020 and made himself immortal with his new support after scoring the winning goal in the Champions League final in his debut campaign.
Havertz has bagged a total of 32 goals and produced 15 assists in his 139 appearances for the club.
