Last season, it was because of Barcelona’s financial trouble that made Argentine footballer Lionel Messi to leave even though he wanted to stay at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona chief Eduard Romeu says the club needs €500m.

However, Barcelona were unable to register Lionel Messi and the Argentine was forced to make a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the reports in the Daily Mail and SB Nation, Eduard Romeu disclosed that Barcelona’s financial crisis is critical.

Eduard Romeu’s reaction about Barcelona’s financial crisis

”It is still critical, but the advantage compared to a year ago is that we know where we are and we have the problem detected. We know what the drama is.

”The number that does the most damage is that of the patrimonial imbalance. Negative funds of €500m. Some €150m losses could be added to this course if we did nothing.”
