Bayer Leverkusen Eye Replacement For Man United Linked Jeremie Frimpong

It looks like it might be easier to poach Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, with the Bundesliga outfit already lining up his potential replacement.

Manchester United have been linked with the Dutch right-back ever since Erik ten Hag was appointed manager.

The former Ajax coach quickly identified the right-back area as somewhere he could improve in the team, but after giving Diogo Dalot time to challenge himself in the team, he may need to reassess the situation in the summer.

On another note, Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s United career looked buried in the mud at the beginning of the season, but he has now become a much better back-up option.

The Reds were linked with Frimpong again as recently as December when transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (via YouTube) revealed he could leave for €25 million.

A new report from Kicker suggests United have been given a boost to sign the right-back because Leverkusen want to sell him in ‘a position of strength’ this summer.

Leverkusen reportedly want an early sale for the former Man City academy defender.

Frimpong has registered five goals and five assists from 26 appearances in all competitions.
