Bayern Munich confirm legendary goalkeeper
- Bayern Munich Confirm Double Contract Renewal.
Bayern Munich have confirmed that legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has extended his contract at the club.
The Bayern captain has penned a one-year extension, which will see the 37-year-old stay at the Allianz Arena until 2025.
It’s a huge day for the goalkeeping department in Munich, with Neuer’s understudy Sven Ulreich also extended his deal for another year, taking him up until July 2025.
Neuer has recently returned to the side after almost a year out following an injury picked up on a skiing holiday.
Speaking to Bayern’s official website, Neuer said: “I am happy to stay at FC Bayern for another year. After my long injury, I’m back on the attack again.
“I really enjoy being on the pitch with this team. I am convinced that together with the fans we can achieve our big goals in the next few years – and of course that includes the Champions League final in Munich in 2025.”
Joining from Schalke in 2011, Neuer has gone on to make 494 appearances for the club and has won 11 Bundesliga titles and two Champions Leagues in his time in Bavaria.
