BCCI Sets Up Committee To Investigate Threats To Saha
The BCCI has constituted a three-member committee to investigate the matter of Wriddhiman Saha “receiving threats and intimidation” allegedly from a journalist.
The three-member committee will consist of BCCI Vice-President Rajiv Shukla, Treasurer Arun Singh Dhumal and Apex Council Member Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, and will start an investigation as early as next week, the BCCI further said in a release on Friday (February 25).
Saha, the 37-year-old centrally-contracted cricketer, had recently tweeted out a screenshot of messages he had allegedly received from the journalist on Saturday (February 19), after the keeper-batter was left out of India’s Test squad for the forthcoming series against Sri Lanka.
The issue escalated after former players like Ravi Shastri, Parthiv Patel and Virender Sehwag among others joined in the criticism of the said journalist.
