Brendan Rodgers Makes Incredible Return As Celtic Manager
Brendan Rodgers has made an incredible return to Celtic as Ange Postecoglou’s successor, signing a three-year deal.
The Irishman controversially left Parkhead in 2019 to take the reins with Leicester City, where he spent the next four years.
He won the FA Cup during that time with the Foxes before being sacked in April ahead of their impending Premier League relegation.
John Kennedy will also remain as assistant manager, while Harry Kewell, Gavin Strachan, Stevie Woods, Stephen McManus and Darren O’Dea have also been retained to assist with first team duties.
Previously, Rodgers enjoyed three success-laden years in Glasgow as he delivered two trebles prior to leaving for the King Power Stadium.
The 50-year-old’s return to the Hoops marks his seventh managerial role following spells with Liverpool, Swansea City, Watford and Reading.
Rodgers inherits a Celtic side that clinched its latest treble under Postecoglou prior to his move south of the border to Tottenham.
