Brentford Bid £30M For Nottingham Forest Forward As ‘Club-Record’
Brentford have made a club-record bid for Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson.
That’s according to The Telegraph’s John Percy who has reported that the Bees have submitted a £30m offer for the Welsh international.
The 22-year-old has emerged a priority target for Brentford manager Thomas Frank after bagging eight goals and three assists in his debut campaign in the Premier League.
Johnson operated primarily on the right-hand side of a three-man front-line as Forest secured their top-flight safety.
However, Percy has claimed that the initial offer has been rejected by Forest who believe the bid has fallen well short of their valuation of Johnson.
Brentford completed their record signing earlier this week in the form of the £22m arrival of striker Kevin Schade from Freiburg.
