Bundesliga Side Bayern Munich Preparing New Bid For Harry Kane
- Bayern Munich plan new Harry Kane offer closer to €100m.
Bayern Munich are preparing a new offer for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Bundesliga champions submitted an opening offer of €70m plus bonuses to sign Kane, which was swiftly rejected by Tottenham. The Premier League side appear to be holding out for a fee closer to €100m for England’s top scorer.
Kane, who has 12 months remaining on his contract, already has a verbal agreement with Bayern Munich and if the player is to move abroad, Bayern Munich would be his preferred destination. But although Kane is Bayern’s No. 1 candidate for their new No. 9, club bosses know that negotiations with Tottenham will be difficult.
Bayern Munich have moved swiftly on Kane with it reported this morning that the Rekordmeister were readying an opening offer, which was made around two hours later. Although Bayern’s offer was rejected, they’re expected to make an improved written offer for the English forward.
Kane scored 30 and created three in 38 Premier League games this season, but couldn’t help Tottenham finish higher than eighth. During his time at the club, the 29-year-old has scored 280 and created 64 in 435 games across all competitions.
After losing Robert Lewandowski last summer and failure to find a replacement, the signing of Kane would be a statement from Bayern Munich as they prepare to defend their Meisterschale.
