Missing Teeth

The man with a toothless smile, Cody Mauch, has been garnering tons of attention not just for his gameplay but also for his electric personality and signature look.

But how exactly did he lose his teeth?

Well, it happened during a seventh-grade basketball game.

It was the junior high conference championship, and Mauch and his close friend Kendrick Lenzen were ardently pursuing a loose ball.

That’s when their heads collided, striking each other in the wrong spot. This collision left Mauch’s teeth in disarray, causing sizable damage.

Unaware of the damage done, both soldiered on to finish the intense game.

However, they crossed paths at school a day or two later when Kendrick was taken aback by Cody’s smile, leaving him in awe with a toothless smile.

The same smile has captivated everyone with his flowing red hair and incredible physical stature.

Mauch has said he doesn’t plan to fix his teeth until his football career ends.

Body Transformation

Mauch began his football journey at North Dakota State. In Tyler Roehl’s run-heavy scheme, Mauch morphed into a 300-pound left tackle.

He was initially a 220-pound tight end who bulked up to move to the offensive line during 2018 spring practices.

This tremendous body transformation maximized his skillset at the collegiate level, nurturing his growth on the gridiron.

Career

After redshirting his true freshman season at NDSU, Cody’s ride took an interesting turn as he transitioned to the offensive line from the tight end.

This transformation proved to be a pivotal moment in his gridiron career. As a redshirt freshman, he played in six games, contributing to NDSU’s remarkable run to the 2018 FCS national championship.

His versatility continued during his redshirt sophomore season, as he played in all 16 games for the Bison.
