Everton have confirmed the signing of former Manchester United utility man Ashley Young.
Young moves to Goodison Park as a free agent after his second spell with Aston Villa ended last month.
The former England international has agreed an initial one-year deal with the Toffees which has the option of a 12-month extension.
He spent a combined six years with Villa in between spells with United and Inter, picking up five major honours between the two clubs.
Young was part of Old Trafford’s last Premier League-winning side in 2013 and helped the Nerazzurri end an 11-year wait for the Scudetto in 2021.
Last season, the 38-year-old featured in 32 appearances for Villa in all competitions, ironically making a first outing against his new employers.
Sean Dyche’s side begin their pre-season campaign with a friendly against Swiss outfit Stade Nyonnais on Friday.
