Erik Ten Hag Interested In Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham And Frenkie De Jong

Manchester United are expected to be active in this summer’s transfer window but it could all depend on whether the club is sold in time, with the Glazer family currently assessing bids from three different parties.

Erik ten Hag oversaw a tumultuous first summer in charge as he signed six players, with more than that departing on permanent transfers and loans.

Despite the heavy turnover last year, Ten Hag is far from finished with assembling his new squad and there are still a number of areas in need of addressing.

Signing a striker is believed to be United’s number one priority but the midfield could be given careful attention once more, with the futures of a number of players still up in the air.

Fred, who has enjoyed a good start to 2023, is out of contract at the end of next season and there is little information on Christian Eriksen’s fitness.

Scott McTominay’s stocks are high after his two heroic performances for Scotland, particularly against Spain, and the 26-year-old has been used sparingly by Ten Hag.

According to the Daily Mail, McTominay faces an uncertain wait to find out what his future will look like and it’s claimed that Newcastle United are expected to make a move for him.

As per the report, Eddie Howe’s men were interested in McTominay in the January transfer window but an enquiry was rejected out of hand. McTominay’s future will be assessed once more at the end of the campaign.

Furthermore, potentially as replacements for McTominay and other midfield departures, it’s claimed that United have three players on their radar.

Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Frenkie de Jong are all believed to be of interest to Ten Hag, who spent much of last summer trying to convince De Jong to join the club.
