Feyenoord Crowned Eredivesie Champions Following 3-0 Triumph OVER GO AHEAD EAGLES

Feyenoord Rotterdam have officially been crowned Eredivisie Champions following their 3-0 over Go Ahead Eagles. Fans filled out De Kuip to watch their side lift the trophy for the first time since 2017.

Oussama Idrissi started the party just 15 minutes into the match. The Moroccan cleanly controlled Mats Wieffer’s pass before finding the back of the net from five yards out. Three minutes later, star striker Santiago Gimenez made it 2-0. The Mexican did superbly to slam the ball into the back of the net despite being dragged down to the ground by Go Ahead’s Jay Idzes. At 22, Gimenez is now the fifth youngest player in history to score in eight Eredivisie games in a row.

After 20 minutes the Feyenoord fireworks were already popping. Tears of joy were dropping from the faces of fans across the ground as Arne Slot’s side edged closer to the title. In the 54th minute of the match, 22-year-old winger Igor Paixao made it 3-0. The Brazilian blasted the ball from the edge of the area before finding the top left corner.

Feyenoord are Eredivisie Champions for the 16th time in their history, and they’ve done it with two matches to spare. The Victory over Go Ahead Eagles was Arne Slot’s 100th game in charge of Feyenoord and he topped it off by winning the title. The team take on FC Emmen and Vitesse in their remaining games, after that it’ll be time for all the players and staff to celebrate properly.
