France U21 International Suffers Injury Setback
- Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise suffers injury setback.
The Athletic are reporting that France U21 international Michael Olise (21) has suffered a setback as he looks to make a return from a hamstring injury.
Olise suffered the initial injury on international duty during the Euro U21 Championships in June. The hamstring injury was expected to keep him out for approximately three months. The Crystal Palace forward underwent a period of recovery in the USA but had recently returned to team training. However, last week, he suffered an injury to the same hamstring, which will further push back his return date. It is not yet known how long Olise will now be out for. Crystal Palace face Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United before the next international break in mid-October.
Despite strong interest from Chelsea this summer, Olise made the decision to not only remain at Crystal Palace but also to sign a new four-year deal with the club.
