Early Life And Parents
George Russell was born to Steve and Alison Russell on 15 February 1998. He is the youngest of his two siblings, Cara, and an older brother, Benjy.
Passionate for racing from early on, Russell took karting at seven, inspired by his older brother, who was also involved in competitive karting.
He moved to Milton Keynes at eighteen to be closer to his racing teams.
Career
Like every other successful F1 driver, Russell’s career began at an early age with karting.
He began karting in 2006, progressing to the cadet class by 2009.
Russell made his single-seater debut in the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps championship in 2014.
