Graham Potter Comments On Sticking With The Back Three Formation At Chelsea
Graham Potter has dropped a big hint on whether he will be sticking with using the back three formation at Chelsea going forward this season.
It was a formation that he started with when he first arrived at the club taking over from Thomas Tuchel, who was also using that same formation. But this season he has switched things up and has been trying to perfect the back four formation.
Obviously terrible form and poor performances has forced him to reconsider and in the win at home to Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, saw him revert to the back three formation.
But will he now be sticking with that moving forward? Well seemingly from his latest comments as picked up by The Evening Standard last night, it sounds like he may well be doing just that.
He said: “I thought we had a nice balance about us. We were better in terms of attacking certainly of the first half. And that’s something for us to improve.”
They certainly did look a bit more secure in terms of balance, and of course, getting all three points helped prove that point.
