- Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris Close To Sealing Lazio Switch.
Tottenham Hotspur veteran Hugo Lloris is on the verge of joining Lazio, with a move now close to going through.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that while Spurs and Lazio were negotiating a transfer fee yesterday, the Lilywhites have agreed to terminate the Frenchman’s contract and let him leave the club on a free transfer. The goalkepeer has already given his approval to a potential move to the Roman side.
Parties are now negotiating a potential deal and are close to finalising a move, with a two-year deal being discussed for the World Cup winner with Les Bleus. Lazio are likely to take advantage of the Growth Decree regulations, with talks ongoing over a wage for the veteran. Talks are in the final stages, with Claudio Lotito keen to close the deal.
Luis Maximiano has already left Lazio to join Spanish side Almeria only a season after his arrival and Lloris will replace him, adding an experienced option to Maurizio Sarri’s side.
