The Real Madrid striker ‘King’ Karim Benzema has been chosen as the player of the 2021/22 European season.
Indeed Benzema has been the top man for the Madrid team after Cristiano Ronaldo left.
Bezema as the captain and leader of the team has been very influencial both on and off the pitch to most of his teammates.
He’s had a wonderful individual campaign at the Bernabeu during the ended season, after scoring 44 goals with 15 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.
Benzema had great team achievements as he led Madrid to win the La Liga and the Champions League titiles respectively.
He scored 15 goals in 12 appearances, including a chain of match-winning performances during the knockout stages.
His pairing with the ‘wonder’ kid Vinicius Jr. upfront worked well for the team, as there was great cohesion between the two any time they break to attack. They made things difficult for most defense, as with the slightest mistake they make you pay.
Bezema’s exceptional form this season has seen him emerged as the obvious winner of the Ballon d’Or.
According to our survey the Frenchman had huge 60.3% of votes, by far the biggest margin of victory in any of the categories.
His closest challenger was Manchester City-bound striker Erling Braut Haaland, who scored 29 goals and assisted eight in 30 outings across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund.
Haaland still only managed to claim 9% of the votes, though, with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah rounding off the top three courtesy of 7.5% of the votes.
