Louis van Gaal has urged Jurrien Timber not to leave Ajax this summer for a move to Manchester United
Former Man United boss Louis van Gaal has warned Ajax star Jurrien Timber from moving to Old Trafford this summer.
Timber has widely been linked with a summer move to United in a transfer that would see him reunite with Erik ten Hag.
According to Metro UK, Ten Hag, who was recently appointed the Red Devils’ permanent boss is keen to add the Dutchman within his ranks as he kicks off his Premier League reign.

However, Van Gaal, who managed United between 2014-2016 has discouraged Timber from moving to the Theatre of Dreams.
While the legendary Dutch manager contends the youngster has what it takes to play in the Premier League, he feels this is not the right time for him to make the move.
“I think a player with his [Timber’s] qualities can play in the Premier League,” Daily Mail quoteVan Gaal saying in his press conference ahead of the Netherland’s Nations League clash with Wales.
“That’s not a problem. But if he has to make this step now… that’s another question. It is not so wise I think [to move to United]. He has to play,” he added.
