Man United CEO Richard Arnold has disclosed that the club is doing everything possible to get a few deals done.

Manchester United CEO Richard Arnold has revealed that the club are ‘doing everything possible’ to sign Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie de Jong.

United have prioritised the signing of De Jong who new boss, Erik ten Hag, is keen to add within his ranks as he kicks off his Old Trafford reign.

The Red Devils are yet to make any signing this summer in what has been a somewhat slow start to the transfer window for the EPL side.

The club’s inactivity in the summer transfer window has left a section of fans restless, with some staging protests demanding for new signings.

Richard Arnold confronted by Man United fans on club’s transfer business.

The Sun reports that Richard Arnold had a stunning encounter with anti-Glazer protests in a Cheshire pub, and the United chief opened up about the club’s situation.

In a video doing rounds on social media, Arnold is heard lamenting that the club has in the past spent billion pounds on transfers, but he was quick to reveal that they are doing everything within their means to get deals over the line.

Arnold was then also asked about Barcelona midfielder De Jong – who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.

“As a club we’re doing everything possible to get the deal done,” he said.

“I’ve been up for days trying to get it done, the money is there but there’s things standing in our way which I can’t say,” he added.
