Manchester United Target Axel Disasi And Jean-Clair Todibo
Manchester United are targeting France international centre-backs Axel Disasi (25) and Jean-Clair Todibo (23), according to a report from L’Équipe.
The Red Devils are in the market for a centre-back following the season-ending injury of Lisandro Martínez (25) and the need to rejuvenate this sector with the departure of Phil Jones (31) and the uncertainty surrounding Harry Maguire (30), the most expensive centre-back ever when Manchester United paid €87m to Leicester in 2019.
The outlet broke the news last week that Disasi had opted to move to Old Trafford, with Manchester United close to completing the signing of the Monaco defender.
However, Todibo is also under Erik ten Hag’s radar. L’Équipe report that Manchester United will probably wait for one of their right-footed centre-backs, presumably Eric Bailly (29) or Victor Lindelöf (28), to depart before going up a gear in their quest to find their replacement.
L’Équipe report that Napoli, Juventus and two German clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, are keeping tabs on Todibo.
Nice are reportedly not entertaining a sale for the former Barcelona defender, who is tied to the INEOS-owned club until 2027.
