MARCELO WEEPS AS HE SAYS GOODBYE TO REAL MADRID IN FAREWELL SPEECH
Marcelo could not contain his tears during his farewell speech held at the Santiago Bernabeu on Monday afternoon.
“I want to thank the club, my teammates, the coaches, the kit men, who are like family, the people who have the ‘dirty’ job because we only dedicate ourselves to playing football, and without them, it’s not possible,” Marcelo said in his farewell speech.
“I want to thank my wife Clarice, I wouldn’t be the man I am without her. And my sons who watched their dad play for the greatest club in the world
“I woke up every day of my life with the joy of being at the best club in the world. Today I leave as the most decorated player of the club.”
“It’s not goodbye, I don’t feel like I’m leaving Real Madrid,” the iconic defender concluded.
Marcelo leaves Real Madrid after playing 545 games, scoring 38 goals and providing an astounding 103 assists.
He holds the record for being the most decorated player in Real Madrid history with 25 trophies.
