Marco Verratti Wants Real Madrid Transfer, But Club Not Interested

Erling Haaland has been making waves across European football with his blazing performances for Manchester City. The striker has already bagged 52 competitive goals for the English club, breaking all sorts of records in the process.

In light of Haaland’s good performances, reports of a potential exit have already started surfacing, with many pointing to his reported release clause worth around €200 million that can be applicable from 2024.

could make a move for the player in 2024.

Reacting to this widely reported release clause, Haaland’s agent Rafaela Pimenta has recently compared the clause to a ‘Treasure Island’ as no one is aware of the exact details of the terms.

“The release clause into Haaland’s contract is a mystery, it reminds me of the Treasure Island. No one knows. I like it,” she told MD (h/t Fabrizio Romano).

When asked about the release clause potentially being removed following the contract extension of Pep Guardiola, Rafaela refused to comment. “Clause removed after Pep signed new deal? No comment on contracts. We had many stories about that,” she added.

Despite the release clause, though, recent reports have not posed a positive outlook for Real Madrid, when it comes to the pursuit of the young Norwegian. It appears the young forward is likely to remain at Etihad for at least three more years.

His father had hinted in the past that Haaland is ecstatic about trying out every top European league. But that could take some time, especially with the former Dortmund starlet settling into his life in Manchester.

Should the Sky Blues win the UEFA Champions League title this season, it could further convince the forward to remain at Etihad for now.

Real Madrid, therefore, will be keen on avoiding that scenario, as they take on the English giants in the second leg of the semifinal tonight.
