Marcus Rashford And Scott McTominay Return To Training For Man United
Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay are back in training for Manchester United after being absent from recent games.
Erik ten Hag’s side is preparing to face AFC Bournemouth this Saturday. They have received a massive boost with the return of the duo.
Rashford is the club’s talisman, netting 29 goals and recording nine assists this season. He will be hoping to hit the 30-goal mark.
The 25-year-old has already broken his record for most goals in a campaign and can reach the much-heralded 30-goal tally with three games left this season.
Rashford has been dealing with a leg injury that kept him out of their 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend. He was kicking the ball and moving freely today.
Also, McTominay is trying to shake off an injury he sustained in United’s 2-0 over Everton on April 8. The Scotland international scored in that game but has been out since.
Saturday’s game might be too early for McTominay after the lengthy lay-off, but there is a chance he can still feature for his boyhood club this term.
United need two wins from their final three Premier League games to secure a place in the top four. They are chasing a spot in the Champions League with Liverpool breathing down their neck.
Liverpool have won their last seven consecutive games and are only one point behind United. Although, the Merseyside club has played one more game.
United go into Saturday’s game looking over their shoulders but will fancy themselves against the Cherries.
However, their away record makes for grim reading. They have only won one of their last five away games. They have drawn one and lost three.
United will aim to improve that record at the Vitality Stadium against a Bournemouth side that has secured their Premier League stay.
United will be out for three points. They will hate to finish such a promising campaign without Champions League football.
