The investigation was about whether Hurney dishonored the league’s private conduct policy. He was restored by the club later that month afterward; no sign was initiated.

His combined record as general manager and director of player operations is 107-133, including a 5-3 mark in the postseason in a span that began in 1998, resumed in 2002 through 2012, and again from 2018 to 2020.
