Nottingham Forest In Advance Talks To Sign Monaco’s Left-Back
- Nottingham Forest In Advanced Negotiation To Sign Monaco’s Ismail Jakobs.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are in advanced negotiations with AS Monaco over the signing of Senegalese international left-back Ismail Jakobs (23).
Since arriving from Bundesliga side FC Köln for just over €6m in the summer of 2021, Jakobs has failed to lock down a starting place at the Principality club. The Senegalese international’s route to the first team was blocked by Brazilian full-back Caio Henrique, one of Les Monégasques’ most consistent and prolific playmakers, despite his defensive position.
Jakobs had a promising Qatar World Cup with Senegal, after switching his international allegiance from Germany, and has seemingly caught the attention of Nottingham Forest, who survived relegation last season. According to Italian journalist Romano, the Premier League club are in advanced talks to sign Jakobs. Negotiations are continuing in order to find an agreement over a transfer soon. The player is reportedly keen on a move to the City Ground.
