Real Madrid Planning To Reinforce Three Positions During Summer Transfer Window
Prominent journalist Santi Aouna (via Madrid Xtra) has offered a series of updates on Real Madrid’s transfer plans in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to the Foot Mercato journalist, the Spanish giants are planning to significantly strengthen the squad ahead of the new season. And as part of their plans, they are aiming to sign up to three players.
One of the priority targets is a midfielder. Needless to say, Real Madrid have already made some progress on that front. The club are in pole position to secure the services of Jude Bellingham. The player is ready to move to Santiago Bernabeu and has rejected other offers.
Real Madrid only need to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund, before the deal can be closed.
Another priority target for Los Blancos this summer is a left-back. The club are planning ahead for a rejig in the position, especially with Ferland Mendy likely to leave at the end of the season. The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
Real Madrid will bring back Fran Garcia ahead of the new season, but they are looking for a more proven option at left-back, with Andy Robertson emerging as the latest target.
Finally, the Spanish giants are looking to sign a new attacker. With Karim Benzema nearing the end of his career, Carlo Ancelotti may require the services of a reliable alternative in the goalscoring department.
Vinicius Junior has done an excellent job, but Real Madrid appear to be far too reliant on the Brazilian at times. The club, therefore, are keen on bringing in a proven attacker this summer. They have been linked with moves for Richarlison, Dusan Vlahovic and others, but there is no clarity, as far as the priority target is concerned.
