Report: Abde Ezzalzouli Will Not Play For Osasuna Tomorrow Due To ‘Fear Clause’
Barcelona will look to move a step closer to securing the league title when they take on CA Osasuna on Tuesday.
It would be a special game for Abde Ezzalzouli, who has enjoyed a great season on loan at Osasuna and could be facing his parent club at Camp Nou. However, according to Diario SPORT, Abde will not be featuring against the Catalans this midweek.
The report points out that Osasuna have no intention of triggering the ‘fear clause’ which would make the club pay €300,000 to Barcelona if they are to field one of their loanees against them.
This special clause was sanctioned by Barça last summer in the contracts of Ez Abde and Nico Gonzalez. The same was not sanctioned for Alex Collado or for players on loan in foreign leagues.
It would be quite upsetting on Abde’s part to not feature against his parent club, especially given the fact that the forward had also missed the reverse fixture.
However, his brilliant performances at Osasuna have not gone unnoticed. With five goals and two assists in all competitions, the Moroccan international has played a key role in Osasuna’s success and there are calls for him to be a part of Barcelona‘s senior side next season.
Ez Abde, meanwhile, should be available at Osasuna’s discretion when they take on Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final later this weekend. It would be an excellent opportunity for the Moroccan to exact revenge against Los Blancos, as they had knocked out his parent team in the semifinals.
