It appears Barcelona are all set for a mass exodus in the coming summer. Sergio Busquets has recently announced his desire to leave the club at the end of the season, while the Catalans may also sanction the sale of multiple star players in the summer, in order to generate fresh income.
Bracing themselves for so many exits, it will prove to be imperative for Barça to secure the signing of new players in the market. One of the names that was instantly linked with a move to Camp Nou is Neymar.
The PSG forward has been strongly linked with a move away from Parc des Princes, as his relationship with PSG has hit rock bottom. Everything suggests he will find a new adventure once the season ends.
However, according to Diario SPORT, Barcelona have no desire to sign Neymar in the coming summer. The Brazilian international’s name has never been on the table on the board for Barça as they look to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
The report adds that Neymar will have to find a new adventure elsewhere. A return to Catalonia is not an option, especially after struggling at PSG with various injuries over the years.
Barcelona, though, are more than willing to get hold of another PSG superstar in the form of Lionel Messi. The club have been making economic provision to incorporate the Argentine into the squad next season.
Although Messi has been recently linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, his father has denied the claims. Barcelona themselves remain confident about securing the return of their prodigal son.
Neymar and Messi are not the only PSG stars to be subjected to a move away from the French capital this coming summer. Even Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a move for Kylian Mbappe this summer, as they have identified a market opportunity to pounce on the French international.
