Ez Abde is enjoying his time away from FC Barcelona, making the most of his loan spell at CA Osasuna.
The 21-year-old was allowed to leave on a temporary stint last summer after the Blaugrana brought in Raphina and renewed Ousmane Dembele’s contract. And the Moroccan has become a regular for Jagoba Arrasate’s side, racking up 22 appearances in which he has three goals and two assists.
Barcelona are pleased with Abde’s progress in Pamplona and are considering keeping him around as part of the first-team setup next term.
However, given the club’s need to sell players to resolve the Financial Fair Play problems, there is a chance that he could be allowed to leave if suitable offers arrive.
Abde is already attracting significant interest from the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid.
Now, according to SPORT, La Liga club Real Betis have also entered the race to sign the 21-year-old winger in the summer transfer window.
This is not the first time that Los Verdiblancos have shown an interest in signing the Barcelona loanee. And it could only intensify further if former Barça technical secretary, Ramon Planes, takes over as the director of the Seville-based club, replacing Antonio Cordon.
Real Betis want to hold talks with the Catalan giants so that they can be well-positioned to sign Abde in the summer in case the Moroccan is placed on the market.
Apart from Betis and the aforementioned clubs, the likes of Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in the 21-year-old. Meanwhile, Osasuna would also be keen to extend his loan spell for another year.
For now, Barcelona are happy with Abde and the development he has shown this season. And while the plan is to keep him at the club, a lot could change depending on the FFP issues and the kind of offers that arrive for him.
