Ricky Hatton, the 43 year-old British former professional boxer, has announced his return to the ring, in a match against Marco Antonio Barrera.
Hatton competed between 1997 and 2012, and over the past ten years he has been working as a boxing promoter and trainer.

RICKY HATTON RETURNS TO THE RING
Ricky Hatton confirmed his returned to the ring on Twitter, announcing an upcoming fight against Marco Antonio Barrera.
He informed fans of the news on Twitter, where he wrote: “I can confirm my return to the ring. Join me for a huge party night – with top music acts – in Manchester on July 2.”
Hatton also included the hashtag #HitmanRises.
In 2011, Hatton announced his retirement from boxing before making a comeback in 2012 when he fought Vyacheslav Senchenko. He lost, and proceeded to announce his retirement again.
Hatton vs Barrera will see the two champs face off in an eight-round exhibition fight.
HOW TO GET TICKETS FOR THE RICKY HATTON FIGHT
To get tickets for the Hatton vs Barrera fight, you can head to the official fight website. The tickets are yet to be released, but you can enter your details to register for tickets.
After entering your details, you will be met with a message that reads: “Thank you for registering for tickets! As soon as we go on sale you will get an email with a link to tickets!”
The event will take place on July 2nd at the AO Arena in Manchester.
