Mohamed Salah planned revenge in the Champions League final blew up in his face as Real Madrid smiled home with their 14th title.

The humbled Egyptian then took to Facebook to make an outrageous wish.

“I would however give all those personal awards up for a chance at replaying that final (against Real Madrid), but that is not how football works,” Salah wrote on Facebook.

“I cannot express in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool but in the end we couldn’t.”

Salah registered the most shots in a Champions League final, with six, but his efforts were met by a Thibaut Courtois brick wall.
