Tchouameni: “Becoming A World Champion With Madrid Is A Dream Come True And It Might Happen Tomorrow”
Aurélien Tchouameni spoke in the press conference and then on Real Madrid TV ahead of the final of the Club World Cup against Al Hilal (8pm CET).
The midfielder said: “Becoming a world champion with Madrid is a dream come true and it might happen tomorrow. Last year’s Champions League was spectacular and now we want to win this trophy. We are going to give everything to win it. We have to be solid in defence and clinical in attack. We have to play as a team, be compact and score goals.”
“At Real Madrid we want to win every trophy. Saturday will be a chance to add to the fabulous trophy cabinet we have and I will give it everything to help the team to win it. I’m here to win trophies and we have the chance to win another.”
Al Hilal “We know their players and if they’ve reached the final it’s because they’re doing a good job. We know it’ll be a great match against a very tough team. We have to do things right and perform at our best to win.”
Demand “Real Madrid is a great team and the best club in the world. The demands and pressure are enormous. My trip to Paris was a mistake. I’m still young and it won’t happen again. This club is the best in the world and I have to perform at a high level on a daily basis.”
Vini Jr. “Vinicius is feeling fine. In football there are tough times against the opposition and the fans. We’re with him and it’s a delight to have him in the squad because he gives us a lot. All that matters is that he stays focused and continues to show his qualities on the pitch.”
Racism “As the coach said, the problem with Vinicius is a general issue and society’s problem with racism. It doesn’t matter if you are white, black or red. We have to show zero tolerance. We must eradicate it at all costs. LaLiga can take action and hopefully change this situation.”
Playing as a single pivot “At Monaco and in the French national team I play in a double pivot with another player, but in today’s game you have to do a lot of things and for me I can play alone in the pivot because in the World Cup with France I played like this. I can do well there too. It makes no difference to me.”
