Inter Miami proved they could win without Lionel Messi as they beat Sporting Kansas City 3-2 on Saturday.

With Messi on international duty, the Florida side got off to the worst possible start as Daniel Salloi scored inside 10 minutes for the visitors.

But Miami were soon level as Leonardo Campana scored from the penalty spot to bring the hosts level.

And just before half time, the Ecuadorian scored his second of the evening to hand Tata Martino’s side the lead.

Miami then grabbed their third of the game on the hour mark as Facundo Farias finished well before Alan Pulido pulled one back for the visitors with 12 minutes to go.

Miami held out though for their eighth win of the regular season.
