Iyo Sky is a Japanese professional wrestler signed to WWE, where she performs on the Raw brand under the ring name Iyo Sky (stylized in all caps); she will move to SmackDown beginning May 8, 2023.

Iyo was born on February 14, 1988, and presently performs under the stage name Iyo Sky on the Raw label.
Masami Odate is known for her high-flying and hard-hitting style in the ring.
She began competing in wrestling at the age of 16. She was a high school student and a part-time wrestler at the time of her debut.
However, she began working as a professional wrestler full-time after receiving her high school diploma.
During their debut season, the Shirai sisters competed for Team Makehen, a stable of wrestlers under the direction of Tomohiko Hashimoto.

Iyo Sky’s sister Mio Shirai is a former Japanese professional wrestler and current referee for professional wrestling.
She was born on February 14, 1988, in Kamakura, Kanagawa, Japan.
Mio began her career in March 2007 by working for promotions like Ice Ribbon, JWP Joshi Puroresu, and Pro Wrestling Wave on the Japanese independent circuit.
She was renowned for her acrobatic skills and capacity to combine technical wrestling with less conventional ones.
In June 2010, Iyo, her sister, and Kana established the Triple Tails stable. The group operated for 15 months until Iyo quit launching her solo Stardom career.
Mio quickly became one of the promotion’s biggest stars. She won the World of Stardom Championship in April 2013 and later held it twice for over a year each.
Nonetheless, at 27, she stopped professional wrestling owing to neck issues, and soon after, she began working as a referee.
Shirai announced in September 2015 that she was getting married the following month.
She later revealed her fiance as Tank Nagai, a professional wrestler. The couple married on October 16, 2015, and on December 31, the following year, she announced her pregnancy.
She gave birth on June 18, 2017.
Personal Life
Odate and Kazushige Nosawa, a fellow professional wrestler, formerly dated and shared a home in Koto, Tokyo.
After returning from Mexico on May 23, 2012, Odate and Nosawa were detained at the Narita International Airport in Narita, Chiba, on suspicion of attempting to smuggle 75 grams of marijuana into the nation concealed inside the two of their paintings.
Odate and Nosawa both refuted the accusations, saying the paintings were gifts from admirers. On June 12, Odate was freed from custody.
She apologized to her supporters, employers, and coworkers in front of the public on June 21 while once again denying the accusations.
Odate also disclosed that she and Nosawa had broken up, but she had not considered retiring since she wished to work again and win back her followers’ and peers’ respect.
Iyo Sky Career
Masami Odate is a seasoned professional in women’s wrestling. She previously held the NXT Women’s Championship. On March 4, 2007, she debuted in professional wrestling with her older sister.
Sky rose to fame once she began appearing on World Wonder Ring Stardom.
She had won the inaugural SWA World Championship, the Wonder of Stardom twice, the Artist of Stardom six times, the World twice, the Goddess once, and the High-Speed once. She became known as the “ace” of Stardom as a result.
Shirai was given the opportunity to test out for a WWE contract in 2016, but he did not sign it until 2018.
