AFTER LIVERPOOL WINS AGAINST BENFICA ARSENE WENGER USES TWO WORDS TO DESCRIBE LUIS DIAZ.

Arsene Wenger has admitted that Luis Diaz ‘looks special’ after watching him for Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s side put one foot into the semi-final of the competition with a 3-1 victory away to Benfica.

Diaz, a £49 million signing in January, certainly played his part by setting up one goal and scoring a third for Liverpool toward the end of the game, restoring their two-goal cushion.

The Colombia international has been a revelation since joining from Porto earlier this year.

It certainly looks as if Liverpool have found themselves another gem in the transfer market and the legendary Arsenal manager is blown away by the Reds’ recruitment, labelling their scouting as 10/10.

He told BeIN Sport: “I would give 10/10 to the scouts. Nothing was wrong there, from Salah and Mane to Van Dijk. Now Diaz – Diaz looks special. Unbelievable what they’ve done.”

UNBELIEVABLE
Wenger is right in saying that Liverpool’s recruitment is second to none.

‘Unbelievable’ is certainly the correct word and what a massive miss Michael Edwards is going to be.

The Anfield outfit are losing their long-serving sporting director this summer, with Julian Ward taking his place.

Edwards has been the man behind many-a-stellar transfer for Liverpool and there’s no doubt that his absence will be felt in some way.
