Al-Ahli In Talks With FIRMINO OVER SAUDI MOVE
- Al-Ahli in talks with Liverpool forward for a transfer to Saudi.
Al Ahli are reportedly in talks with Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino over a move to the Saudi Pro League.
The 31-year-old can be signed as a free agent after he departed the Premier League giants at the end of this season.
He has been linked with a return to his native country Brazil, while several other European clubs have also been credited with an interest.
But it looks the experienced forward could be heading to Saudi Arabia.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Al Ahli are in negotiations with Firmino to sign him as a free agent.
The player has yet to make a decision about his future, but the Saudi outfit are confident about a move.
They are preparing his medical tests in case they get the green light to sign him.
Firmino started his career at Figueirense before switching to German outfit Hoffenheim in 2011.
He joined Liverpool in 2015 and went on to become a huge success at Anfield.
The 31-year-old lifted the Premier League and Champions League trophies during his time in Merseyside.
His eight-year stint at the Reds saw him making over 350 senior appearances, bagging 111 goals.
He could now join the exodus of big-name players who have moved to Saudi Arabia this summer.
Former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Chelsea star N’Golo Kante have signed for Al-Ittihad, while Al-Hilal have snapped up Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly.
