BARCELONA LEGEND WAS SPOTTED CARRYING CHELSEA BAG IN LONDON
Gerard Pique has gotten fans talking that he could be warming up for a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has got football fans talking after he was seen carrying a Chelsea bag amid uncertainty surrounding his future at Camp Nou.
Reports suggest that the La Liga giants are looking to offload the legendary defender in the wake of his recent separation from his wife, Shakira.
According to Daily Mail, Pique was sensationally told by Barca boss Xavi that he is no longer part of his plans and can leave the club.
The publication claims the decision was reached due to Pique’s unprofessional conduct off the field and his deteriorating physical condition.
MailOnline reports that the 35-year-old defender is in London to cheer on Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon, and caught up with the current Australian and French Open men’s champion.
However, hawkeyed onlookers also noticed that he was carrying a number of bags branded with the Chelsea logo during the event.
Clad in a white t-shirt and a black cap, Pique was seen holding a Blues bag in one hand as he took photos from the Wimbledon event.
Marca claims that the legendary centre-back visited the Chelsea megastore to buy home shirts for his children – which they were later seen wearing, getting fans talking that he could be warming up for a move to Stamford Bridge.
A move to Stamford Bridge would not be a surprise, with the west Londoners looking to secure defensive reinforcements following the departure of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
