Barcelona Set To Wear New Sponsor Logo For Next Clasico Against Real Madrid
Barcelona are set to change the sponsor logo on the front of their shirt for the visit of Real Madrid to Camp Nou later this month as part of their partnership with Spotify.
Barça usually have the Spotify logo on all of their shirts, but it was swapped for branding belonging to Canadian rapper Drake for the reverse Clasico in October.
RAC1 has reported that a similar move will happen again, with local artist Rosalia set to have her branding on the front of the shirts when Real Madrid come to town.
Born in Sant Cugat del Valles to the north of Barcelona, Rosalia is one of Spain’s most internationally famous recording artists, with music having charted in various countries across Europe, as well as in Latin America and the United States.
Barcelona’s deal with Spotify is believed to be worth around €280m. The music streaming service also acquired stadium naming rights that saw the club’s iconic home officially renamed Spotify Camp Nou. But the injection of cash has brought some much-needed financial stability.
The latest round of fixtures in La Liga saw Barça restore their nine-point lead over Real, with Xavi’s side winning against Valencia and Los Blancos held by Real Betis.
The gap could, at least temporarily, be cut to only six points this weekend as Real play Espanyol over 24 hours before Barça kick-off against Athletic Club at San Mames.
