CELTIC BEN DOAK ON HIS WAY TO LIVERPOOL FC

The Reds are on their way to secure the signing of one of the most promising teenagers in the United Kingdom in the form of Ben Doak.

Doak is a product of Celtic’s youth academy and has already played for the first team at Celtic Park, but it appears the Hoops won’t benefit from developing the player as he is on the cusp of a departure.

Celtic have allowed numerous young talents to leave in recent years.

Things You Have To Know About Doak

Doak plays as a winger or a full-back for the Celtic first team, he has come off the bench to play further forward on the wing.

Doak is currently the second-youngest player ever to feature for Celtic behind Jack Aitchison.

The 16-year-old made his debut off the bench at the end of January as he was given minutes against Dundee United.

He then became one of the youngest players ever to play in a match between Celtic and Rangers as he came on as a substitute in the former’s 3-0 victory in February.

Even when Doak features as a full-back, his strengths definitely lie going forward as he is very positive in his outlook on the wing. always trying to burst into space.

He is a physical player despite his age, full of pace and can get up and down the wing easily.

Celtic are realy desperate to tie Doak down to a new contract, but it appears he has had his head turned by Liverpool.

Following his debut, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou was full of praise for the youngster

“He’s a fantastic kid who comes from a good family. He looked really composed for his age.

“He’ll have grown up a bit today, it will given him a different perspective on life. He probably would have been on the other side of the terracing if he hadn’t been playing!”

Liverpool appear to have already won the race for Doak’s signature. He just turned 16 this season that is why Celtic haven’t been able to tie him down for longer.
