Paris Saint-Germain have pulled out in the race to sign Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele giving Chelsea the chance.
Chelsea have been handed a major boost in their pursuit to sign Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele this summer as French champions Paris Saint-Germain have pulled out in the race.
The France international is out of contract at Barcelona this summer and the club are yet to offer him another deal which means Chelsea could sign him for free.
According to the reports in the Daily Mail and Sport, Paris Saint-Germain pulled out in race for Dembele because they are now focusing on getting central midfielder.
Dembele’s progress at Barcelona has been affected by injuries, but the Frenchman broke into Xavi’s squad last season and was able to make 32 appearances netting two goals.
With Romelu Lukaku reported to be interested in making a return to Inter Milan, Chelsea chiefs are in the market to get a replacement for the Belgian footballer. The reports added that Barcelona could decide to sort out Dembele’s future this week.
